Manny Pacquiao

Manny Pacquiao Net Worth 2014 – 2015: $160 Million

Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao is a Philippine boxer who’s currently ranked as the 14th highest paid athlete in the world, according to Forbes Magazine. Manny has an estimated net worth of $160 million dollars, and although he’s earned much more than that throughout his career as a professional boxer, you have to keep in mind that the Federal tax rate in the U.S. is very high, which means that he does not get to keep all the money that he earns from every fight. In fact, due to the high 39.6% federal rate in the US, Bob Arum at one point even said that Pacquiao would probably never fight in the United States again, but that obviously wasn’t true, because he backed off that statement rather quickly and Emmanuel fought Tim Bradley in Las Vegas a couple of months later.

Manny Pacquiao is perhaps one of the greatest boxers of our time, and even though he’s probably not as good as Floyd Mayweather, his boxing style is definitely a lot more exciting. Don’t get me wrong though, I love how Mayweather fights, he’s probably the fastest fighter in the world today, and there’s no doubt that he has the best defense, legwork, and accuracy that I’ve ever seen. I mean he’s a Master of the game, he actually makes boxing look like an art, but just like Timothy Bradley his KO ratio is low, not as low as Bradley’s, but low enough to make boxing fans mad. On the other hand, we’ve got the Pacman, a guy who used to knock everyone out, and although he hasn’t knocked out anyone for quite some time now, fans all around the world know that he has the explosiveness and power needed to get people out there. I also like the fact that Manny likes to fight, unlike Floyd who prefers to box, it’s rare to see Mayweather exchanging blows, he enjoys dancing around and not getting hit, while Pacquiao simply likes to fight.

Manny Pacquiao became a professional boxer when he was just 16 years old, he didn’t go to the Olympics or the World Amateur Boxing Championships, so he had it rough, because he didn’t receive multi-million dollar contracts, and he wasn’t a heavily marketed fighter either, he had to fight really hard in order to get to the top, and believe me, it wasn’t easy.

As a professional boxer “Pacman” has established several records that are worth mentioning, he has won 10 world titles and has beaten all the great fighters of his era such as Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, and Tim Bradley among several others, he was named the Fighter of the Decade for the 2000s, he has been named “Fighter of the Year” three times, and has been rated as the number one pound-for-pound boxer in the world several times throughout his career.

Pacquiao has earned his wealth boxing, most of his money comes from the purse that he receives whenever he fights, he also makes a couple of extra millions every year by way of big juicy endorsement contracts from big brand names such as Nike and Hewlett-Packard to mention a few.

But, how much is Manny Pacquiao really worth? Well, according to several online media outlets and magazines he currently has an estimated net worth of $100 million, however, after making our own calculations and taking into account the most recent information about his career, salary, and earnings, we have come to the conclusion that he might be a little bit richer than what most people think, or say. In fact, we believe that Manny has a total fortune of $160 million dollars approximately.

Forbes Magazine currently ranks Pacquiao #78 on their 100 Richest Celebrities list, and #14 on The World’s Highest-Paid athletes list with estimated earnings of $34 million as of 2014.
